Cocktail Recipe: Campari Sour

What does a print shop and cocktails have in common? On a regular day, nothing. But during the pandemic, we decided to change the 'C' in M.C.Pressure to stand for Campari.

Campari is a bitter liqueur, classified as an apéritif, and known for its distinct dark red color. You can find it featured in a Negroni when mixed with Gin and Vermouth. Today, Ryan decided to make his current favorite, a Campari Sour:

Start by adding ingredients to the shaker without ice. Shake vigorously to mix. Shaking will also froth the egg white. Open the shaker and add ice. Continue to shake until the outside of the shaker is icy. Then double strain into your glass. The drink will appear fluffy, but the foam will settle. Peel a strip of lemon rind and squeeze it over the top of the glass to express. Wipe the rind on the outside of the glass and place it in the glass for garnish!

Buckle up and welcome to Flavortown! We realize this bitter drink might not be for everyone, but the lemon and simple syrup help round the poison out. Also, this is our blog post, and we can do what we want.

If you're feeling crazy, you experiment with using any other apéritif or amaro. Although we are not actual bartenders, we're hoping that you find inspiration and a bit of joy in developing stay at home concoctions!
